There’s more of you to meet.

Kinaya is an AI-guided self-reflection tool that helps you see the patterns, feelings, and needs beneath your scattered thoughts — grounded in your own words, yours to interpret.

It’s in early development — the first private prototype is on its way.

Reflections, not verdicts — you decide what feels true.

Illustrative — how a scattered thought may begin to unfold.

A Kinaya moment

When something you’ve felt for a long time finally finds words — that’s a Kinaya moment. You bring a thought as it is: tangled, half-formed, honest. Kinaya offers a quiet place to look at it more closely. Here is the kind of moment we’re building toward.

You might write

I keep saying I need space, but I feel hurt when people actually leave me alone.

Kinaya might reflect back

A pattern you may be noticing

You may be protecting your independence while also longing to feel chosen.

A feeling worth naming

Ambivalence, tenderness, or a fear of being left.

A need worth exploring

Closeness that doesn’t feel consuming.

Does this resonate? Keep what feels true — question what doesn’t.

Kinaya offers prompts for reflection, not diagnoses or final answers. This preview is conceptual — the product itself is still in development.

How it works

Simple to begin. Yours to interpret.

  1. Express what’s on your mind

Write freely, without needing to organize or explain everything first.

  2. Notice what may be underneath

Kinaya reflects back possible patterns, feelings, and needs — always quoting the words you actually wrote.

  3. Explore, don’t accept blindly

Consider what resonates, question what doesn’t, and add your own meaning.

  4. Return with more context

Over time, related reflections can help you notice what keeps returning.

Product principles

Reflections, not verdicts.

Kinaya doesn’t define who you are. It helps you pause, notice, and explore what might otherwise stay unnamed.

Keep what resonates. Question what doesn’t. The meaning stays yours.

  • Your agency comes first

Every reflection is an offering, not an instruction. Nothing about you is decided for you.

  • Possibilities, not conclusions

Kinaya suggests what may be worth exploring — never what must be true.

  • Reflection, not diagnosis

Kinaya doesn’t label, score, or categorize you.

  • Support, not a substitute

Designed to support self-understanding, not to replace professional care.

  • Built to be outgrown

Success is you getting better at understanding yourself — not needing Kinaya more. No streaks, no reminders, nothing engineered to pull you back.

  • An AI, in plain sight

Kinaya is an AI system, and says so. It works only with what you choose to write — and your words are never sold, shared, or used for advertising.

About the name

A name for what is felt before it can be said.

Kinaya carries echoes from two languages. They trace a journey from what is felt but not yet said to what we discover we can carry. The crossing between them is what we build for: the moment a feeling finally finds its name.

Arabic · كناية

kināyah

saying without saying

In classical Arabic rhetoric, kināyah conveys meaning through implication rather than direct statement. It speaks to what is present beneath the words: the parts of experience we sense, circle, or gesture toward before we can name them plainly.

Tagalog

kinaya

I was able to. I came through.

In Tagalog, kinaya can express having managed, endured, or made it through. It carries the quiet recognition that you faced something difficult and found, perhaps to your own surprise, that you could hold it.

Untranslatable

No single word can hold everything you feel.

Some experiences contain contradictions: longing and resistance, tenderness and anger, grief and relief. Naming one part should not erase the rest.

Kinaya does not try to translate your inner life into a label or a final answer. It helps you stay with the complexity, find words around what is emerging, and notice what begins to feel true.

From what has not yet been said,
to what you discover you can carry.

Kinaya is a name for what
no single word can hold.
